April is Here!

As we move through this month, our students are working incredibly hard to prepare for the STAAR assessments. Their effort, perseverance, and commitment to learning have been inspiring to see, and we are so proud of the growth they have shown throughout the year.

At the same time, we want our students to know—and for families to hear—they are so much more than a test score. STAAR is simply a snapshot of what students have learned in a particular subject over the course of this year. It does not measure their intelligence, creativity, kindness, resilience, or the type of human being they are becoming.

We recognize that testing can bring anxiety and stress, and our staff is being intentional about encouraging confidence, balance, and a positive mindset. We are reminding students to do their best, take their time, and know that they are supported every step of the way.

Thank you for partnering with us as we cheer on our students and celebrate their hard work and growth—both during testing season and beyond.

Extra Practice For Home

Many of you have expressed the desire to have access to things your child can use to practice at home. Below are some things they can use to practice what they are learning in school. Most subjects are busy reviewing for STAAR and end of year tests.

If you have access to a computer at home, your child can login to IXL and work on Math, Reading, and Science. This program is researched based and has proven to help students show growth.
